it's good of you to defend Grant, i applaud your loyalty. but i mean, if they were assholes in person, then i can see the point in taking them seriously (sort of), but over the internet is a little bit unnecessary. it's not like our words are gonna enlighten them in any way, anyhow.. they're probably laughing that they succeeded in pissing you off. besides, what makes you think they're so entertained by us that they'd come back?
oh wait, they're probably getting a boner from seeing us talk about them, so let's stop. like.. now. =)

Precisely Karen, IN CYBERSPACE. Whether in person or in cyberspace, people can walk all over you. I'm never fuming mad when I write my posts. They're always written in cold blood and if they're assholes, they're assholes and I don't mind letting them know. I don't think you understand that I'm not just defending Grant. They posted on my blog too and on Grant's blog, they posted as one of my best friends at Queen's. Do you think it's a hassle for me to post these things?
Jon, I think what Kay is getting at isnt so much that its a hassle, but that its something which could be avoided althogether. Letting them know they're assholes isnt going to change anything, even if they did post as a freind at Queens. The only thing you can do is rise above such things, and remember this Jon, there is no harm in keeping your mouth shut sometimes, you dont always have to attack everyone who attacks you but the key is knowing where to draw the line between that and being a doormat.
If letting them know they're assholes isn't going to change anything, fine. Why do you have a problem with letting me vent? I'll keep my mouth shut if I think opening it will mean saying something deliberately hurtful to someone I care about. You vent all the time about the evil of human nature and how religion is pointless. Are you going to change human nature? Are you going to convince people that religion is pointless? Of course not, you say it to get a point across. I am saying what I say to get my point across.
Jon,I think there is a considerable difference between venting about the pointlessness of religion, and venting because of the reason you are. I thought you wrote your comments in cold blood but this seems more like the oppostie. In any case, us having an argument about this is pointless because in the end we all have our own way of dealing with things and whatever works for the individual is good enough.
